metallica with cliff's bass turned up loads. the bassist in me loves this.



As a lad I went on some youth group trip to Galway, where I found in Zhivago's the bass music book for this album.

My teenage self surprises my grown up self I have to say, as someone who learned bass only by tab and can't read music. I'm actually quite accurate. I had nothing else to be doing in the 90's in the middle of nowhere.

There's a couple of bits there that weren't in the book, and I no longer remember the bridge (quiet) bit. But I'm quite pleased with myself that I learned and played it pretty damn close to what it should be.
 
Is shoulda mentioned his whole instagram is him finding new ways to play that song.

I'm listening to garage days re-revisited $5.98 ep on the headphones in work.
Lars drumming on this is fuckin' top notch. The drums sound great as well.
