If you like Danger Mouse and Black Thought
And also MF Doom and RTJ and Raekwon and all that kind of new 'old school' hip hop, it's such a pleasing record
There is something about danceable righteous truth getting spat at you

'World in World' by Julia Reidy. Out on Oren Ambarchi's ultra-hip Black Truffle label.

Well. Oof. Vinyl all sold out*, eh? Damn.

If there's a bookies taking bets on Wire Magazine's Album of the Year, I'm laying a few cheeky notes on this being No.1.

*Some copies going on Discogs obviously.

Ah experimental bedroom guitar ,thats a genre I'm familiar with ..the funky intonation is fresh

Yeah thats not my cup of tea ..lost two games of chess with it on

Really like this newish release from London (I think) trio. The description below is taken from their bandcamp. Sums it up more or less.

A heavy fusion of hip hop, psych rock, funk, jazz, library/soundtrack, beats & breaks ‘Dismantle’ is hard to pin down to one genre but will appeal to a varied range of music fans.

This is great. The live sounding recording is novel too.

There's a new Vinyl Williams album out, Cosmopolis.
More of the same hippy dippy, blissed out pop psych. Spring reverb liberally applied.

There's also a reissue of a previous cd only release.
Have to see if freebird can get them in. Can't be paying €50 for a new release LP.

Surf rock from Atlanta Georgia. A band called Genki Genki Panic. Really like these lads

I am enjoying the new Sasami LP. She doesn’t seem to be getting any attention around these parts at all.

I bought a Carl Stone album off this label, so I get the odd email from them now and again. Decided to give this one a whirl...

Enjoying this slice of weird... seems to be a soundtrack to a novel. That's a first?

Worth a listen for outre/modern/classical fans.
