It's a nifty bit of editing, rather than a song as such.

I knew I'd heard the phrase "smoke trees" somewhere amongst the youngsters at work or in the pub, but having done a search, it's actually quite a common phrase. There's a lot of songs about it, mostly rubbish. I thought bragging about substance abuse was a long gone thing.

I've watched this a few times now. Trust, it gets funnier every time. Your dad smokes trees.

i'd forgotten just how good that was

Trees

BY JOYCE KILMER
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Imagine; a grown adult wrote this, and people took him seriously. Years before Hallmark cards were a thing.
I actually only knew the parodies of this until now.
to me this is written in the style of all those hymns like All Things Bright and Beautiful (All Creatures Great and Small). but it seems in this case the guy who published it in 1913 was a respected lecturer who went of fashion very quickly.
I'd say those hymn tunes were mostly written for kids to have the displeaure of singing.

Imagine the suffering of generations of teachers trying to get kids to take Wordsworth's Daffodils seriously.
