that suggestion is not without its problems, but I tend to agreeIf you just ban alcohol sales during the pandemic then you wouldn't need to do a curfew...

I'd say Leo is incorrect about the first part but correct about the second part. From what i've seen the government has never had a plan or even an idea how to solve that problem. If they did then we could eradicate Covid entirely on the island, but it'd probably involve doing politics and they're not qualified : /
I think YOU need a Prostate check
Same here. Bar 1 or 2 days where I thought I might be picking up a dose, I've never been healthier.Incidentally..I usually get a few chest infections every year and I've had none in 12 months..not a fucking sniffle. I feel fucking great! First year thats ever happened.
The same measures that prevent covid spread reduce incidence of other similarly spread diseases. There’s no ‘seasonal flu’ this year.Same here. Bar 1 or 2 days where I thought I might be picking up a dose, I've never been healthier.
And while we're on the subject, I was chatting with one of my old neighbours who's a primary school teacher. He said he's normally been to the doctor about 7 or 8 times by December of a regular school year with different doses and he hasn't been once yet. The guy's really big into his running and the doctors always said he was training too hard and it was running down his immune system. He told me he's training harder than ever right now, and I've seen it myself in our local park, and he hasn't been sick once. He's putting it down to him and the kids in his class washing their hands properly for once.
True that, as well people aren't obligated to go into an office or feel obligated to go out socialising when they've a dose on them like they did in previous yearsThe same measures that prevent covid spread reduce incidence of other similarly spread diseases. There’s no ‘seasonal flu’ this year.
think of the transmission risk posed by a packed bus - people working from home has a much to do with it as kids in schools

Thoughts on reporting people for breaking covid rules? Narc behaviour or civic duty?
I’m in London. Police here are pretty good.Wasting one's time.
For my own local garda station, I don't have confidence in responding to most reports in general.
I think they feel inconvenienced in my local station if people need them
It’s a business. A clothing design company. About 10 - 15 people in their 20s/30s in every day. They also have piss ups on a Friday.Context is important. You don't really know what's going on with whoever it is. Also, glass houses etc.
By and large though I would say it's civic duty.
On that note though, back in December herself decided that one of our friends could be in our "bubble" so she came round. She lives alone, she's lonely etc. so I said fair enough.
Later we found out she spent xmas day at another friends house. We let that slide as it was xmas day.
Then we found out she spent new years eve at another friends house. Those people had tested positive and were isolating, and she went there anyway for wines and lines.
Last week she texts the missus wanting to hang out. A polite but firm "no" was the response from us. I feel like reporting her, but that would probably make her want to do even more stupid shit.
