That reminds me of an idea I had years ago for a story about a paranoid schizophrenic who is convinced there is a massive worldwide conspiracy against him...he's actually getting severely persecuted by persons and forces unidentified etc..and it turns out there really is..and the big reveal in the last scene..ITS HIS MA orchestrating it!!

I think someone made it into a movie though,soon after I thought of it..or possibly before
