identify this guitar? (1 Viewer)

It's in getting a new nut fitted this week. Then back to me to finish setting the neck angle and pt the now sorted electronics back in.

Didn't know where else to put this:

A mate dusted off that old thing over there and took it to the guitar shop for repair. When he walked back in they had £3000 cash to offer him.

After some research, it could be worth 10k.

Apparently it's American made with German electrics, and was bought just as everyone realised hair metal was shit.

Any insights appreciated

Forgot to mention, it's apparently one single piece of wood. "Rarer than rocking horses". I dunno.

There's sure to be a Jackson/charvel group that could tell you? If not just ask on some of the guitar message boards.

I tried to find one like it and could only find Japanese made and with a different logo.
That one seems to be referred to as a toothpaste logo.

It looks like a Jackson soloist or Charvel Model 5 or 6.

Possibly made by Charvel before Jackson started his own company. Presumably early 80s if US made. Worth bringing it elsewhere for a second opinion and valuation.
