1080p video on the cheap (1 Viewer)

So nerds..what would be my VERY CHEAPEST route to shooting quality video?

I'm thinking a budget of around 150 notes..so probably something used.But theres so many fucking options its kinda putting me off.I could research audio gear all day but I havent the patience to do the same with video

Thats what I'm thinking.

Having a quick look around I could prolly find one for a lot less than 150..but I want to get the best I can.Something with a bit of depth to the picture.

I was gonna put my camera up for sale to fund it..but it doent seem like 10 y/o Canon powershots hold their value very well!

I've just been thinking about tethering a HD webcam to the laptop via USB.

What are the firewire options?

If you get a decent 1080p camcorder it'll probably have FireWire that's all

I'm formulating a plan here..its gonna be my next project..try to make a high quality pop video.
High quality but absolutely fucking insane and possibly arty

I'll need to throw together some decent lighting too

They're nice alright but if they're the same as the ones we used in my old job they're really designed for focusing on your mug for a Skype / videoconference session.

Perks: Tiny camera, can stick it anywhere. Pull stuff directly off SD card. You can attach it to a bicycle helmet and become a shouty angry cyclist guy.
Cons: You'll get a slight fish eye effect on the video frame.

I have one of those. You can have a loan of it if you want to try it out/use it for a while.

I presume if you turn off the feature that makes it auto focus on your mug when you get near the camera while Skyping or whatever it'd do the job.

Theres no point in me going to any more trouble than usual with the same 320x240 resolution I've been using thus far..so I'm getting a new fucking camera.
