I think DCC running a free festival where everyone playing gets paid is something to be commended.
 
What's wrong with a fest where everyone gets paid and is free for the public? Esp one where it's mainly local/unknown acts? If you're against it as it might ruin the canals then if the times I've had to deal with DCC for event planning are anything to go by it'll be well looked after.
 
Someday in the future they will have the last laugh and we'll all have to refer to ANAL Sex as CANAL sex.
