Who else but Fact Magazine would come up with such a list. Played a good bit of c64/SNES as a kid but never really got into Playstation or whatever. Bought a PS2, never used it pretty much aside from DVD drive. Glaring omission here for me is the soundtrack to Last Ninja on the C64. Particularly Last Ninja 2. Have them on CD. Also, about 5 years ago I bought a 2xCD soundtrack of a game called Eufloria by dude that goes under the name Milieu after reading a review. Excellent ambient music. worth checking out. not on this list.

When this came out, QTH Computers on Dawson Street hooked a Commodore 64 up to a huge speaker outside their door...

that game doesn't ring a bell at all. not familiar. sounds great!

ha! my brother used to record his favourites from tv to tape. awful quality obviously but still were listened to regularly enough I remember. including the background noise of phones ringing, dogs barking and such.C64 still in attic boxed up safely. must seek out some time. we sold many games back in the day unfortunately to fund a snes. ended up buying the c64 back a few years later

this was a gem. great game too

Recorded this Hubbard masterpiece to tape from the TV too (only possible because there was a glitch in the game where you could hide on a platform and just wig out to the OST without bad dudes harassing you):

"He has stated that he had many musical influences including Jean Michel Jarre, Synergy and other synth bands.[6]"

Yeah, "influences"...

There's a 33 and a third book coming out about the Mario music.

Great to see Dune 2 and Golden Axe on that list, Monkey Island 3 instead of 2 though... hmmm

It was probably too much to hope that someone had recognised the genius of this one though, every level had such amazing music...
