This didn't go at all well last night, very poorly thought out. Shame, I have a lot of goodwill toward anything that doesn't involve me sleeping in tents. Hope they can iron out some of the problems for the rest of the weekend.

What happened?

[edit: they've miscalculated capacity / popularity of different acts

Yeah, and stupid things - they were maybe an hour late opening so some queue folk got caught in a downpour, close to two hours late opening the food area (presume these won't arise again), they scanned your rfid bracelet every time you entered or left an area (hope they just count bodies in and out with a clicker or something today), you had to buy food from Just Eat waiters (could switch to direct buying from the food stalls), and the only toilets are at the front door and not many of them (there's an Ely stage today, so maybe Ely place is closed off, could have portaloos out there?). And the usual annoyance when a festival goes cashless, people feel strongly about cashless, but it didn't seem to add big delays in this case.

The upstairs venue you had to queue for a spot in, looked like they could've increased capacity by moving the bar, but maybe the numbers were determined by fire escape stairs.
