Thumpedia:Community Portal

This page will list areas where help is needed in compiling the thumpedia.... which at the moment would be everywhere. If you're interested in helping out then take a look at the existing articles for some pointers on structure & formatting and get stuck in.

Bands

As good a place as any to start. I have a database of almost 250 Irish bands here from a few years back which will soon become thumpedia article stubs, since there's not much information there. Hopefully people will start to fill in the blanks.

Labels

A comprehensive list of independent labels and their catalogues shouldn't be hard to put together - it's not essential that the label owner do this, since the information is in quite a few record collections already.

Discographies

Lists of each band's releases should be easy enough to compile, either by pulling the details from the Labels category, or from record collections. The next step will be to create a page for every release, but that might be further down the line.

Zines & Freesheets

These really need to be catalogued. I know that some of the zine & freesheet writers from back in the day read thumped, so...

Promoters

Histories of independent / DIY promoters would be good.
