We're delighted to announce a show by thrilling Dublin experimentalists 3epkano. Don't miss this rare opportunity to see them perform live in what promises to be n early Christmas treat for fans of experimental music.
3epkano are a Dublin based, seven piece collective who are dedicated to producing original soundtracks for silent and avant-garde cinema.
They founded in 2004 and have played numerous headline shows in both Ireland and the US to great critical acclaim. More recently they have played support slots with Spiritualized, Chris Brokaw and collaborated with Donal Dineen.
The group have also been commissioned to produce new music for such prestigious institutions as The National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin Fringe Festival ( performed in the Speigle Tent), Film Society of Lincoln Centre and the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York.
2008 also saw them take responsibility for curating the new alternative music strand at this year's Kilkenny Arts Festival, a programme which included Mercury Rev, Spiritualized, Lisa Hannigan and Somadrone to name but a few.
For their 2005 debut album 3epkano adapted tracks from the origonal score composed to accompany screenings of Robert Wiene's The Cabinet of Dr Caligari and FW Murnau's Faust .
This album was release on the bands own label Smiling Politely Records.
Having reeleased their second album, At Land, last year, they plan to record their third at the beginning of 2009.

The Hollows
Dublin 2 piece, The Hollows make a welcome return to the live front. Their sparse mellow approach to song writing has won them praise from around the world.
Their full length debut It Was on Fire When I Lay Down on it was recorded by Steve Fanagan and is a collection of gentle folkish songs, which sees guitars, organs, piano and drums meld seamlessly with soft electronics and warm vocals. It comes packaged in hand-made artwork created by the band.
Their last batch of gigs saw them play shoes with the like of Six Organs of Admittance, Final Fantasy and Casiotone for the Painfully Alone.
