vitriolic response are playing tullamore on the sunday as far as i know, theyd want to be as they apparently booked a ferry costing 700 sterling - absolute madness if ya ask me even with 3 gigs.

do people still do actual posters in dublin?? must ask some europeans is it the same out there or is it just an irish thing.

I know posters aren't exactly easy to put up around dublin,but I'm sure there are still some places they can be put up? And to be honest,I'm not in dublin enough to really comment on how effective they are these days

Recent conversations I've read and taken part in online would suggest that decent promoters use any and all (affordable) avenues of promotion to get the word out about gigs and possibly attract new faces. Facebook is only one of many.

fair play to you Byrneos on posting this here.

There is definitely still a lot of the old poster places around town, though some places have the plastic frame things which you'd have to pay to use. But places like Simons place, Cornocopia, Freebird Records, georges st arcade etc, still can be postered. Deko does a poster run for all their gigs, and all the bigger gigs still poster.
It is sad that flyer art and punk posters are pretty much a thing of the past.
