I've only ever had one mate I worked with, and I knew him since primary school. Still mates now. Everyone else subconsciously represented time spent getting shafted for a pittance. Who wants a reminder of that when you're getting a buzz on ?I don't talk to anyone at work either. I don't know if that makes me an asshole.
A few of them are facebook friends and I'm constantly surprised that they are still in touch with people who worked here ten years ago and they still socialise with each other. Some of them even married each other.

I'm mad into riding people from work. Or at least I used to be. I'm getting too old now and the girls in my new job don't fancy me : (
real good! except the flat is a total dump! but it's in the process of getting fixed up so once it's painted and new carpets are put down it'll be sweet. The sun sets on an epic age.
How is not hating your living situation working out for you?
Dude's Asian.
Could be tricky.
I think I'm the biggest asshole in my workplace. Not an obnoxious asshole, moreso an asshole that tries to avoid any interaction.
except lately this girl from brasil joined and all she wants to do is talk about sex.
I'm happy to interact with her
It's like dating colleagues. If you have a massive falling out you're fucked. My previous job, I only liked one person but we still didn't interact outside of work much. We even had a few overlaps in acquaintances and liked all the same things. We both just knew not to mix too much. Sitting next to someone when you can't just get up an leave for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week can be tricky. She's great though. I'd totally hang with her now that we don't work together. It took us 4 years to finally become facebook 'friends' she knew the score. Cool chick and now I miss her.
Exactly. It's why I never understood why someone would want to date a co-worker. Jesus, you'd have to see them 24/7 and that would be a horn killer. It's also why travelling together can be tricky too. Too much time with someone is never good. It's like dating colleagues. If you have a massive falling out you're fucked.
First day of college a classmate and I realised that we would be getting the bus together for 3 and a half hours a day five days a week. He brought me in a walkman on the second day.Exactly.
