The people I work with (1 Viewer)

I don't talk to anyone at work either. I don't know if that makes me an asshole.
A few of them are facebook friends and I'm constantly surprised that they are still in touch with people who worked here ten years ago and they still socialise with each other. Some of them even married each other.

I just don't get it. It's just a job.
I've only ever had one mate I worked with, and I knew him since primary school. Still mates now. Everyone else subconsciously represented time spent getting shafted for a pittance. Who wants a reminder of that when you're getting a buzz on ?

I really enjoy working with the people I work with. Just folk, at the end of the day. There's a cunt with a laugh that could cut glass next door, and I'd like to eviscerate him, but otherwise, all grand.

I like the people I work with too. Nerds are actually sound, mostly nice to each other and accepting of people who aren't exactly like them (for instance me). Also I hadn't spent time in a predominantly male environment since secondary school until I started this job, and I still (3 years on) am amazed at how easygoing a group of guys can be when there's no women around to have to impress. Guy nerds like, I suspect there are other groups of men I'd feel less at ease in

I work with a great bunch of people, unfortunately two of the three people I manage are the only full on tantrum and hissy fit throwing people in the company... but since it used to be that I had the three most childish hissy fit and tantrum throwing people in the company until one left and we replaced her with a reasonable human being I just have to hope that things will keep improving. This morning I could gladly of banged heads together. Man nearly 50 shouting "I'm not listening to her" (about his colleague not me) and her (also nearly 50) moaning about how it's all (the one who left nearly 2 years ago)'s fault and how the other two (reasonable man and 50 year old baby) are ganging up on her when I heard her with my own ears agree that she would use the same approach as the other two to this particular task. I HATE working with women!

My previous job, I only liked one person but we still didn't interact outside of work much. We even had a few overlaps in acquaintances and liked all the same things. We both just knew not to mix too much. Sitting next to someone when you can't just get up an leave for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week can be tricky. She's great though. I'd totally hang with her now that we don't work together. It took us 4 years to finally become facebook 'friends' she knew the score. Cool chick and now I miss her.

It's like dating colleagues. If you have a massive falling out you're fucked.

Exactly. It's why I never understood why someone would want to date a co-worker. Jesus, you'd have to see them 24/7 and that would be a horn killer. It's also why travelling together can be tricky too. Too much time with someone is never good.

First day of college a classmate and I realised that we would be getting the bus together for 3 and a half hours a day five days a week. He brought me in a walkman on the second day.

Legend.

I can't talk about my workmates..well I could about one of them..but he's sound, though he dosent talk to me.
And the other lad is covered in provo tattoos.

So..nothing to write here..but its all very interesting
