LAZYBIRD
Sunday, 8:15pm-12pm
Anseo (upstairs), Camden Street, Dublin 2

Another month, and another Lazybird gig in Anseo. This time around, there's a little more noise and volume than last month's performances.

The night will start out again with Simon and David, the secret identities of YOU KISS BY THE BOOK, bringing you some nice sleepy folk tunes, lush harmonies and some country licks thrown into the mix for good measure.

Next up will be THE TERRIBLES. Normally accompanied by a full band, Sunday will see a duo configuration: with core member Neassa being joined by Greg from The Hollows, who'll be providing guitar, noise, beats and vocals. Melodic, lo-fi, homemade/bedroom independent pop/rock...all of these could describe what The Terribles are about. Recorded with real instruments, using modern (computer) and retro (cassette tape) technology, with vain hopes of making people dance...

The night will finish with a lovely little band called ELSWORTH CAMBS. This will be one of their final full-band performances until after the summer, when most of the band takes off and they finish recording their upcoming album. Their songs can be big or small, and are based around lovely and relaxed vocals. The music is folky but still has that dance kick to it.

As per last month, the bands will do one final jam to close off the night. All of this happens this Sunday, starting at 8:15pm and going until closing (later than usual, it being a bank holiday weekend). And at 5 euro in, a bargain.

See you there,
