Steffi - www.myspace.com/steffiklakson
Embracing to music, art and counter-culture, Dutch born DJ and producer and label owner Steffi has become an important figure in the realms of contemporary club music.

With the experience that comes with promoting underground parties for over a decade, and running two successful labels - Klakson, and her new Dolly imprint - Steffi has also developed a natural and professional balance between DJing and producing.

As a resident of Berlin's Panorama Bar she forged a growing a relationship with the club's label, Ostgut Ton. Building up her production knowledge and collection of gear since her move to Berlin in 2007, she now has a fully fledged studio in which she has created a very respectable sound indeed.

Her warm, classic-inspired and analog-proud productions have featured as various singles on the label and her first full-length artist album, „Yours & Mine“ plants her firmly on the map as a deft hand at song writing and production. Tracks like the unmistakable „Yours“ featuring Virginia, or pumping warehouse moments like „Mine“ and „Nightspacer“ are undeniably impressive, as is the entire album; an emotional journey reflecting her love for real, uncompromised club music.

Steffi also collaborated with the dedicated Restoration Records as „Third Side“ alongside Lucretio and Marieu, offering up a raw and historic 4 tracker. Also branching out on US label Underground Quality, her smooth night-driving 'Reasons' EP again features Virginia's wonderful vocal encouragement. Steffi's productions explore the many channels of her love with house music, just as you will also hear when you see her controlling the sound system in the club.

Always presenting a rich, versatile selection with her skillful, creative mixing style, Steffi continues to distill her huge knowledge and love for this music into her DJ performances. With increased touring and world-wide appearances becoming more and more regular, while also maintaining her residencies in Berlin and at Berns Salonger in Stockholm, Steffi is a talented, passionate and aware member of today's music culture. A culture whose very strength relies on dedicated artists such as herself.

Prosumer - www.myspace.com/prosumer
Achim Brandenburg aka Prosumer lives in Berlin, he is an expert in classic Chicago House and Detroit Techno. He gained this expertise first as a fervent record buyer at Saarbrücken’s Hard Wax branch, where he later started working behind the counter. It was the heyday of labels like Prescription and Relief, the time for soulful house music, which still can be heard in Prosumer’s sets today.

"My heart is beating for the early Chicago-Detroit-Techno and for music that feels similar and transports this feeling into today. Generally, I like producers who cordially follow their feeling and who work on a personal style which rather caters for longeivity, than a momentary kick. To know one’s trade isn’t a disadvantage at all.“

Slowly, the consumer turned into Prosumer, who by the way is a character in Alvin Toffler’s visionary sci fi novel '3rd Wave', in which the term 'Techno' has allegedly been used for the first time ever. Prosumer is not only djing, but producing as well. His debut is released on Swayzak’s 240 Volt label in 2004. A year later he released 'The Craze' on Playhouse, which turned into a veritable hit record, followed by remixes for e.g. DJ T. and collaborations with Murat Tepeli or Sebo K, for who Prosumer contributed his charismatic vocals.

"Whatever I do has got to be real. If a record doesn’t move me emotionally or physically, I won’t play it out. I have to feel the music and I’m always trying to share my feelings with the crowd on the floor. If everything goes down well, there’s an exchange going on. I try to keep a balance between pushing people’s buttons and surprising them. It’s all about having a good time together. I’m sharing my inner emotions..."

Daz & Martin [Get Down Edits] - http://soundcloud.com/darrendazdalton
Both Daz & Martin have been collecting vinyl since the mid 90's and very soon after they were playing their collections out. Since then they have played every major clubnight & venue in the Southeast of Ireland and also made regular DJ appearances at venues in Dublin, Cork and Galway as well as many festival gigs like Gateways Festival (Wicklow), Life Festival (Mullingar) Indiependence Festival (Mitchelstown). In April 2011 they landed a gig at Corsica Studios, London and rounded off 2011 by taking to the decks for two nights running in Budapest.

Coming from a house & deep house background, in their earlier years of DJing they supported many national and international acts such as Kenny Dope (M.A.W), DJ Deep (Paris), DJ Harri (Sub Club), Yousef, Ben Watt, Fish Go Deep, Charles Webster, Frank Roger, Atjazz and received praise from the New York legend Kerri Chandler when he added their names to the thanks list of both his NRK Coast 2 Coast and Southport Weekender mix cds after many warm up sets for him. In 2006 they landed a residency as room 2 DJs for the well established and long running Waterford indie club night 'Shakedown'. This was there chance to experiment with more styles of music and they soon built up Shakedown's room 2 as a cool funky space with a anything goes music policy of various styles from 80s, funk, soul, disco & classic electronic music all being mixed in house music style.

In recent years they have been busy running and promoting their own 'Get Down' night and have played host to some great names like, Greg Wilson, The Revenge, The Disconauts, Mark E, Craig Smith, 78 Edits and the legendary Chez Damier to name but a few.

In the summer of 2011 they launched the "Get Down Edits" record label. Get Down Edits Vol 1 was released in June and the first vinyl press quickly sold out of all the major UK stores including Juno, Piccadilly and Phonica, London and the digital release remained in Juno downloads top ten selling releases for two months... Vol 2 followed in November & included tracks by Deep & Disco & 78 Edits along side two of the lads own work, again the first vinyl press quickly sold out, gaining support from names like Greg Wilson, Cosmic Boogie, Dicky Trisco, The Revenge, Kev Beadle, Doc Martin, Pete Herbert, Jacques Renault, Deadly Sins, Ltj Xperience, House Of Disco Records & Rudy's Midnight Machine just to name a few... With plans to release a Vol 3 in the coming months, a release due out before the summer on top disco edit label 'Disco Deviance' and remix work coming in, 2012 could be a good year for Get Down Edits...
