last year I picked a team from championship, 1st and 2nd division to go up. did a 10 euro treble bet so if they all got promoted i stood to win a ridiculous amount of money. was a spur of the moment thing last year. picked wigan, sheffield utd and oxford. none were promoted. sheffield utd had an awful first half of the season. oxford were in contention. wigan had coyle as manager. what was i thinking?

gonna give it a little bit more time and effort this year. because i'm a greedy bastard I tried to pick a slight outsider for promotion last season, within reason. might have to change that mind frame this year. was good for keeping an interest in these leagues though. although it died quickly with sheffield's shit start.

any suggestions?

Did Derby keep most of their squad from last year together?

I follow a few Forrest fans on twitter and they are not optimistic.

not sure. lost andre wisdom anyway. they're 11/4 to go up. pretty solid you'd imagine. although cardiff and fulham should be pretty strong.

Not sure about Fulham, they might not like the physicality of the championship.

Though you got burned on them last year, maybe Wigan again? Rosler seems to be a manager on the up, turned them around post Coyle, got them to a Cup semi, and they won't be playing Europa league this season. Lost Jordi Gomez though

yeah Rosler did a really good job. you'd imagine they should get play offs at least

after a bit of research (reading the guardian's preview of each league this week) this is what i went with.

Wigan 11/4
Bristol City 11/4
Portsmouth 7/4

10er on those getting promoted = close to 400 potential haul

This is not going well.

Wigan more likely to get relegated.
Portsmouth bottom half of the table and no intention of leaving.
Bristol City looking good for promotion at the moment

When the Premiership started getting popular here, my mate picked Wigan as his team
Not sure why, maybe because of the Casino.

Anyway, since the FA Cup it has been nothing but a shitshow. I feel bad for him.
Especially as he loves this t-shirt so much
