C'mon Egg. Get with it. Prince is amazing. Where to start? I dunno ... as other people have said, Dirty Mind is brilliant but may not actually convince you that he is a genius. Parade or Sign Of The Times should do the trick.

I think you can go thru his records chronologically with ease, right from the start they were good, then they get amazing... then they get.... um... But there's a deadly progression that you don't get with a lot of artists.

Plus the early albums are knocking around crazy cheap

does anyone have the lovesexy tour videos?? there was two of them, i've been looking for them for years

I have them both and they rule.
I have the Prince and The Revolution Live '85 video also (What I saved up my pocket money and bought) I recently diditized this to burn to DVD to archive it.
I'll be doing the same with the Lovesexy vids also.
I also have vids that archive old tv performances such as the grammys and the oscars in the early eighties at the height of Prince mania.
Also 1999 tour related, I have a bootleg video of someone down the back with a shitty camera on a zoom lens. Looks awful, but is good to hear.

Niggle, can't believe you have'nt seen sign O the Times yet.
In Cork it was the last film ever shown in the Capital before they gutted the place and turned it into a multiplex.
