Acoustic Alarm Tour with Mike Peters

Mike Peters will be taking his extensive Alarm repertoire out on the road in the U.K. and Ireland for an 'all request' acoustic tour throughout the month of April 2005.

As lead singer of The Alarm for over 21 years, The Alarm can lay claim to a series of 16 Top 50 Singles, seven successful albums and over 5 million sales worldwide.

Mike Peters and The Alarm pioneered the use of acoustic guitars back in the early eighties helping to create what is now known as the electro-acoustic sound of today; the sound behind such memorable Alarm hits as '68 Guns', 'Rain in the Summertime', 'Where Were You Hiding When The Storm Broke?' and 'Absolute Reality'. Throughout Mike's illustrious career, he has performed on stage with many of the 'greats' of rock and roll , including Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Bono.

On this special tour, Mike Peters will be performing songs chosen specifically by his dedicated following of fans who will have the chance to dictate the content of the shows when ordering tickets through the bands website
www.thealarm.com or at the venue on the night.

Mike and The Alarm have just performed at the 13th annual Alarm event 'The Gathering' which completely sold out (1500 tickets: Jan 28-29) . 500 tickets have already been sold for next January's Gathering 14! Mike Peters will use the tour to launch The Gathering DVD Box Set Collection - an eight DVD set together with a unique personalised filmed dedication disc. Mike will be filming dedications live on stage during the tour and these performances will be included
in the individual box sets.

Mike Peters, who has just recently completed a 20 date UK Tour as Special Guest to Status Quo has not performed a solo acoustic U.K. tour since 2000, concentrating instead on the worldwide commitments of The Alarm and the recent controversial chart success of '45 R.P.M.'/'The Poppy Fields'. (The Alarm scored a Top 30 UK hit in 2004). The story of '45 R.P.M.' has become the inspiration for a major motion picture which will be shot in the U.K. by 'Shrek' producer John H. Williams and British film director Sara Sugarman.

Mike Peters and the Alarm will be creating the soundtrack for the film and will be preparing a new studio album for release later in the year 2005. During the tour, Mike Peters will preview new material from the proposed as yet untitled new album.
