St. Johns, Newfoundland (1 Viewer)

Might find myself here next year. Checked a couple of sites but since its never been on the list of places to go I haven't a breeze about whats worth seeing. Anyone have a clue?

i know fuck all about Newfoundland, but i know a few Newfies...i think people don't visit there to see the sights, but more to soak up good vibes from the hospitable, honest and friendly folk that populate the place.

or maybe i'm thinking of PEI...

Drove by it on the way and said I'd stop on way back but couldn't find the turn-off. There is also a town called "Come By Chance" not too far away. I kid you not

There's also Conception Bay. Head over to St. Pierre and Miquelon and spend some of your euros. Here can an Irish person draw the dole in any EU country cos St. Pierre and Miquelon is a lil slice of France just off the coast of Newfoundland.
I don't know anything about St. John's much. I do know I wanna visit Newfoundland at some stage though. I do know a load of Newfoundland sea shanties and the like too. None of which is much help soz.

has anyone experience of travelling around this part of canada during march/april using public transport?gotta be a lot of snow causing travel problems i imagine. or using public transport around here at any time of year?
