Not sure if this should go in Nerd section or home recording, but anyway....

Does anyone here have any experience using pd on a pc?

For the first time in years I've encountered a problem that a google search can't resolve and it shouldn't be that difficult.

How do route midi signals internally?
It's wrecking my head. The only tutorials I can find online are for mac which is straight forward using IAC. I've read a view dated forum posts that suggest using Midi Yoke which I've also read doesn't work too well with Windows 7. ASIO4ALL doesn't seem to work for me either for some reason.

Any suggestions?

After extensive carefully worded google searching, I found this app http://nerds.de/en/loopbe1.html

Interesting program there too called ipMIDI for sending MIDI signals across a network. A bit like OSC.

would midiyoke be any use to ya? not that you need it now apparently...its dead handy. you install it and your daw will have 9 virtual midi cables for routing data between applications...

that was my first thought, I had that on my last computer but apparently it's buggy on windows 7. Loopbe is working perfect for now.
