    Talulah Does The Hula

Brought together by a mutual love of the tropics, harmonies, bouffants, sex, sunshine, outdoor drinking and of course wickedly clever and sexy pop tunes, Talulah Does The Hula is a brand-new Irish indie-pop quintet.

Made up of ex-members of The Chalets and Neosupervital, Lauren, Jessie, Caoimhe, Paula and Mike, TDTH are inspired by a love of lush harmonies and danceable beats from the Shangri-La’s to The Cars, and with the quirky habit of swapping instruments & vocals.

DEBUT DOUBLE-A SIDE SINGLE Bad Boyfriend/Those Girls NOW AVAILABLE

Road Records has described their debut release as "superb slices of guitar driven indie pop with a hint of that classic sixties motown girlgroup sound and a wee bit of early blondie"

"Sugar-sweet harmonies which soar up, up and away? Check. Swinging, gum-chewing, swaggering suaveness to knock your pop socks off? Check. Sunny-side-up melodies ripped, recycled and respun from beneath the armpits of giants such as The Shangri Las and The Ramones? That would be a darn tooting large check too." - Jim Carroll, The Irish Times 24/07/09

Single chosen by Jackie Hayden as HOT PRESS' PICK OF THE FORTNIGHT! 16/07/09

"Ireland has a new perfect pop band to fall in love with." - Hot Press Magazine

"One of our favourite new bands of the year" - State Magazine

    Guilty Optics
    http://www.myspace.com/guiltyoptics

Guilty optics formed in 2008 with Alan Finnerty and Peter Lee. Originaly playing as Bend this, Uri Geller! the pair started to write new songs and found a new sound in the process. The ingredients- Harder, Faster, Louder and a tasty flavour of melodic rock n roll was enough to melt your face but was just missing one final piece. Enter Ruadhan O Meara on bass and vocals the Jigsaw was complete.

    Slurps

slurps were all immaculately concepted to russian virgins and subsequently raised by timberwolves. they have been honing and developing their sound for almost 2000 years in northern china. they are probably best known for writing medieval floor filler "greensleeves" and kiddies birthday party favourite "happy birthday (to you)". sometimes reggae, sometimes doom metal, always industrial folk, they sound like somewhere between carly simon and bach. constantly drunk and usually blissed on heroin their (1) anarchic liveshows have been described as: "relatively unembarrassing" - eoin dowling, civil servant "good ideas, but you should have had a soundcheck and a practice" vinny walsh, the dole "not my cup of tea, but you should keep plugging away" - man in toilet at the show.
