Mine was 1x12 and could more than hold its own with a loud drummer, bass and 2nd guitar around the 3 setting in volume too. Tried it once or twice to see how loud it would go and it stayed clean throughout. Never really used the second gain channel.

I have a Laney LC30 II. It's great. A lot of power in it and takes a lot of punishment. Very reliable.
