What movie did you watch last night? (7 Viewers)

Remember him in Assassins ? Gold.

"You have to pull the trigger in a different way"

Amazing.

The only way his Expendables role could have been better would have been if he and Sly had thrown a few lines from Assassins in there for a laugh.
Actually they should have just made some amazing reference to Sharon Stone or something!

Flukt
Norwegian medieval badass girl movie

Better than decent

Took FOREVER to find the English subtitles for this on torrents. Now I see that the subtitled version was on Netflix all along.

Why is my first instinct to do the illegal thing?

13 Sins ..was really enjoyable!

Its not gonna change your life or anything..but a good auld romp of a movie.Nice and pacey

Hector and the Search For Happiness:

Total tripe that says nothing useful. Apparently if we want to be happy we should all just marry someone and that'll be that solved. Shite film.

Into The Storm:

Quite amusing. Lots of completely stupid shit accompanied by some tornados. This film would be perfect for a Mystery Science Theatre episode, there are sooooo many stupid things to laugh at!

Lucy

Luc Besson's new film. It's great. Like, it's not good in a sense of 'oh what a clever film' or anything. It's Luc Besson great. Like 'oh, this is all really cool and the music is great and there is no messing about here.'
Anyone that thinks this film is intelligent in some way is totally wrong, but it does have a fucking GREATTTT car sequence (that isn't actually a chase!) and some other really cool shit.
Seriously, Luc Besson nowadays is all about the cool scene ideas, fast pacing, and class action. Sometimes it's great, sometimes not so much. This one is pretty good fun though and looks amazing. Probably helps that I saw it in iMax though, makes the sound and visuals that bit better.

Night Moves

Jessie Eisenberg plays a brooding paranoid type (huge surprise there) who plots to blow up a hydroelectric dam in the wilderness with two of his activist buddies. Weird hybrid of a movie, part eco-terrorist procedural thriller and part slow-moving ominously atmospheric piece.. There's an incident towards the end that totally shifts the tone, awkwardly I felt, and after that it doesn't seem to know what to do for an ending. 6/10 I reckon.

Rich Hill

Documentary about three teenage boys from impoverished backgrounds growing up in a small Missouri town. This felt a bit like Boyhood done on the wrong side of the tracks (and minus the time lapse gimmick). Like Boyhood there are no major incidents, just hanging around with the three lads and their families which gradually reveals their personalities and their problematic circumstances. I think they managed to avoid 'poverty porn' but a couple of reviews I read accused it of that. Worth seeing I think.

Godzilla. Worth it for the HALO scene, which I thought looked amazing, but most of which is in the trailer. I can see why lots of people didn't like it, but fuckit sure I enjoyed it.

Monsters was better.

Locke. Thought it was pretty good. There are some really silly, pretentious moments but Tom Hardy's performance can't be faulted and his spot on Welsh accent makes him sound like a young Anthony Hopkins.
