Is there an 'Everton thread everyone loves them' thread? (1 Viewer)

No one, not even Pep, has been found out like Moyes this year.

reckon mourinho has been found out to a certain extent. as someone said on the bbc live scores feed today. the likes of tony pulis or sam alardyce could make those chelsea players perform to that way/level. was nice to see the fucks getting booed off the pitch by their own supporters on their last home game today.

still not bitter from last weekend, i swear

I' d hardly say Moyes was found out. It was pretty clear from the get go he didn't have much.
Hardly, when Kenwright and Moyes took over our club we were facing a Rangers style demise. They did an amazing job and overachieved for 10 years. Wherever he goes next will be disciplined, organised and will grind out results by playing pragmatic football. He had us playing with a bit of style before he left too. The fact is that United was too much too soon for him and his football is the wrong type for that club and it's supporters. Mourinho could have gone there and had the same problems (to an extent, by means am I saying that they're on a par but they play similar football. Mourinho is just better at it.) United fans wouldn't have stood for the performance they out in against Atletico. Fergie for all his issues, played to win every single match, especially in Europe where his early efforts to nullify opposition ended in defeats to the likes of Galatasaraay.

There are a few clubs who expect to play a certain way and to win by playing that way. Changing the blueprint is like trying to change the crest. Real, United, Barca, AC Milan, Liverpool and Spurs for example, they play differently but each club has played it's football for 50 years. Moyes wasn't Fergie he didn't know whether to copy him or change everything in the end he did neither and that's what caused him to fail.

If he failed by playing the same football he did with us I'd understand it and say yeah he was found out, but United never looked anything like us so it's hard to say he was "found out" football wise. As far as managing big egos though, yes he was fucked from the beginning. The only big egos he dealt with at Everton were, Rooney who he sold after 1 season, Drenthe who he sacked, Jo who he also sacked and Beckford who he sold after one season. It's not hard to see his failings really.
There's a good chance that Villa, Spurs, Newcastle and maybe West Ham will be looking for new managers in the summer, Moyes would do
a good job at them.
Villa will get better, they're a young side who are inconsistent but Lamberts ideals suit them.

Newcastle or Spurs are crying out for Moyes style of management rather than his style of football.

West Ham, are as big a nothing as we were when he took over so maybe that's the best bet. After Alladyce he'll look like Ancelotti anyway.

Seamy after pulling a hamstring. Doubt for Georgia. FFS.
@Cormcolash why did you rate that "winner" ? That's shite news altogether. In reality he's missing the Thai trip but it's not too serious apparently.

For us if he's not right we can only hope Bryan Oviedo get's a decent pre season in before he returns to what I'd imagine will be a hero's welcome.

Also

We've signed another defensive midfielder.

BBC Sport - Everton: Muhamed Besic signs on five-year deal from Ferencvaros

He looks delighted doesn't he ?

What is happening to Martinez ? he's gone all conservative.

Lukaku, fair play. Mourihno is mad.
Yeah, bit of a bargain when you think about it, 32 in 66 PL games in the past 2 seasons is not bad especially for a 21 year old.

Of course that's beside the point for us because we know all about him and he fits our side perfectly and he clearly wants to play for us.

All we need now is Gareth Barry to injure him during the derby.

Jose has clearly never rated him which is odd considering the faith he put in Drogba - who looked a total waste of money after 2 season at Chelski.

Still fuck him, Mata and Lukaku gone and he never played either of them to begin with, two honest hard working decent seeming lads.

Drogba and Costa in - two of the biggest knackers in football. Classic Chelski.
