So I was watching Dawn of the Planet of the Apes today and the screen kept flickering. It was the afternoon show and the place was half empty but it didn't seem to bother anyone except me. I went and complained to the box office staff but the flicker stayed right until the end. I was about to go ask for my money back when the manager came in and apologised that they couldn't fix the flicker and gave everyone a free ticket to any show they liked. I am the greatest hero.

Dunno where else to put this but here’s good piece on Darren Aronofsky during the making of Noah, although it’s full of that pompous, self aggrandizing bullshit talk that people in the film industry spout so much. When I read Ray Winstone say something like “I think Darren takes great pleasure in seeing you go through pain—you go again and again and again. He pushes you to the limit, looking for perfection.” I think “shut up mate, you got paid a small fortune for this.”

Just saw on FB that they cancelled tonight's show. What was the problem?

Looks like they had no sets built.
