To be honest Cosmopolis and Mao II would both be a lot better if they were 100 pages shorter.

On the subject, Just finishing up American Pastoral, fuck sake Phillip Roth can you stay focussed for 15 fucking minutes ? You've reached the most intense scene in the novel can you please not mention a fucking anecdote about a fucking cow for a few fucking pages. Christ!!!
