JUPITER FOREST seek bassist.
JUPITER FOREST | Official Site
Hi there,
We’re looking for a confident bass player who can easily lock in with our drummer.
We’re looking for someone who can understands groove and can get a crowd moving.
Must have:
• Fast fingers- we’re looking for someone who doesn’t over-complicate but can riff and move their fingers freely enough.
• Good communication skills (no moods—we’re very open with one another and agro is not on the resume).
• Someone with a bit of gall and is man enough to take constructive criticism.
• Good time keeping and camaraderie—everyone mucks in on studio rent, communal gear, roadie duties.
• Own gear (decent professional bass guitar and a decent Watt amp)- no Argos toys please.
• Own transport would be ideal but not essential at the moment.
• Have a bit of style—(no hicks) our style being: slightly Rockabilly, rock n’roll, alternative, black, slicked hair, beards.
• Available to gig, rehearse, record as priority anytime during the week (with obviously humane consideration to everyone’s personal lives)
• Someone who is hungry for the band to succeed and play their best.
About us:
We’re 3 serious minded musicians, 2 vocalist/guitarist and a drummer/vocalist. Been working on our EP for the past year. It is being mixed this month- we've put alot energy and money into it because we're dedicated.
We have our own rehearsal/recording space where we store our gear and we pay rent, usually €60- €79 each a month. We don't expect a newcomer to pay excruciating rent but contributing is always a nice gesture.
We have our own transport.
We’re coming to the end of finishing our debut EP which we’re recording with Dublin band, The Minutes.
We plan to gig like hell in the future and also secure some good noticeable support slots through contacts--- fingers-crossed.
We don’t deal with bull**** but we’re not nasty.
Our influences: Quentin Tarantino movies—i.e Rockabilly, Surf Rock, The Cure, The Smiths, QOSTA, Little Green Cars (especially their vocal harmonies), ZZ Top, acoustic-Led Zeppelin, Dark Brit Pop bands (Suede, Mansun), Thin Lizzy.
Demo tracks for auditions available on request.
Our current music videos on youtube:
If you wanna join a rock n’ roll band, playing original- artsy music and put serious effort in then get in touch.
Time wasters need not apply
