phantom power by the tragically hip. i got this in a bargain bin after having a flashback to hearing them at a party. its intensely canadian but once you get past that its a good record.

Ok technically this was first released in 89 but it was put out again in the 90's so im counting it as 90's music

Hip hop and electronic music was fucking amazing in the 90s.

The only thing that has been at all interesting for the last 13 years has been noise rock like Yellow Swans, Fuck Buttons, Lightning Bolt, Zu.

Everything else sounds like it was made 20-30 years ago.

And most of it would have been shite if it came out then.

This was a highlight, and the video was great too

ah lads lets not be putting good songs in this thread

90s were deadly. Paying £13 a week in rent, playing loads of gigs, going to millions of gigs. Yea I'd be in a much better position now if I'd have made some different decisions then but what are you going to do?
1991 or 1992 I bought my first "non-metal" album. Ride, Going Blank Again, still love that album.

That Supergrass one that goes "we are young, we run free" is the best one for me - just finished school, an actual long hot summer, whizzing round the midlands all summer in a truck, that tune on the radio. That was as good as my youth got, it wasn't great.

I think Supergrass are very underrated. They're the Slade of the 90s

I love them. That second album is one of my favourite albums. They're kinda like a British Weezer, super poppy first album and much darker and heavier second album. All 90s gold.

First album:

I got menswe@r - nuisance in a charity shop. I quiet enjoyed it. Not bad at all, but I do have a bit of soft spot for britpop, even the ropey stuff.
