Aye I found it really interesting. Like the wide point demonstrated is the pickups are 95% of what is going in pure signal terms, but how players react to different types of guitars is a whole other world.

I do kinda love you get these hugely influential people and they invariably are not playing any hyped up model of guitar/amp whatever , they just get one they like well enough and let the creativity deal with the rest.
